Prototyper, playtester, rules consult
My long-time best friend. They do my prototypes, playtest, and consult on rules wordings — as well as supplying moral support, advice, and owning the house I live in.
Hi, I'm Chris, and Basement Squirrel Games is the grown-up version of my life-long love of games. I have been playing and making them for as long as I can remember. Call it a midlife crisis, but I want to do something big with it. I have a day job (and a night job), so my time is limited. Fortunately, most game design is play, so time and help are easier to find than for some other kinds of side projects.
For the rest of “us,” I've recruited a few friends to talk through sticking points and test the games, found a collaborator or two for some projects, and hired some contractors to fill in where I don't have the skill or time.
A few friends and contractors who've helped along the way.

Artist / co-designer (Aww Nuts, Deez Nutz)
Chelle and I are making two games about squirrels collecting nuts: the family-friendly Aww Nuts, and Deez Nutz, a party game with adult language and themes. Both games are currently on hold while Chelle focuses on what pays the bills — a problem common to artistic adults.
Contract artist (Martian Roulette)
A highly recommended contractor who did the art for Martian Roulette. I met her on Fiverr, where she does contract artwork.
